HISTORY
The declaration of Labuan as a “ Duty Free Port” by the Malaysia government opens up even more ways for the global trading activities. Thus, except for meeting the exemption requirements for import permits stated by the Malaysian Government, Labuan should be considered a haven for global trading activities.
The history of the company started when Prunella born in Labuan exposed to the Oil and Gas environment in the 70’s by her family decided to take up the opportunity offered by a new comer to the Oil and Gas Industry in Labuan established the company AB Enterprise together with her husband, Richard. At that time, the name AB Enterprise was selected from the combination of their children, Aaron, their firstborn- meaning the leader and Bernice, their firstborn daughter – mean Victory.
AB Enterprise was formed to service the Oil and Gas related companies in Labuan by providing professional services in Cargo Forwarding and Handling Services via air, sea and land transportation plus logistics services.
Apart from providing forwarding, handling and transportation services, AB Enterprise provide professional personnel of various categories to assist the Oil and Gas companies who require personnel on the short term basis.
In the year 1990, AB Enterprise moved on to offer aircraft handling services to private companies and charted services for domestic and international routings. This was also extended to sea routing as well.
In the year 1992, AB Enterprise joined the Selangor Freight Forwarders and Logistics Association, and become affiliated FMFF, FIATA, FAPAA, AFFA and MNSC to ensure the clients that the services rendered by the company is of international standard, and updated with the latest knowledge of Logistics. The company also provides the clients with a complete package of logistics including consultation, supervision, checking, labeling, packing and others required task in logistics services.
In the year 1993, the company included into the scope of services the door-to-door services, warehousing, and material sourcing, manufacturing, inspection and certification services for the clients who have specific requirements. This was specially extended to clients who are based out of the Island of Labuan.
Today, after 20 years of services, with a complete fleet of transportation, equipment and network of forwarders throughout the world, the company able provides the clients with the complete cargoes forwarding and handling services including dangerous cargoes and consignments to any part of the world, and moving on to service the industry with a supply chain relationship.
